The walking wiper offers an efficient and environmentally friendly tool for controlling weeds in a targeted and selective manner. By minimizing herbicide usage and reducing the risk of herbicide drift, this mechanical weed management tool helps promote sustainable agriculture practices while maintaining weed-free fields and landscapes. The walking wiper has an automatic spray tank that pumps weed killer up to the wet wipe pad. The pad becomes saturated, applying a thin film directly to the weeds. The tank runs for approximately 50 minutes. Strawberry growers have raved about this unit keeping weeds down for the U-pick markets. Wiper panel sizes available are 18″, 24″, 30″, and 32″.
The dual row wiper consists of two sets of wicking mechanisms or applicator arms mounted on either side of a central frame.
