This is an excellent, high quality mulch film by Ginegar to use on your raised beds.  We only carry high quality, embossed (cast) mulch film by Ginegar.
This plastic protects late crops; the white side prevents tender plants from burning in the sun during late plantings (Mid to late Summer).  Great for Cold Crops like broccoli planted in late summer, or late tomatoes and peppers.  (Note: You may also flip the plastic and use the black side on top.)
We always recommend laying drip tape under your plastic mulch. Check out our drip kits!
What Our Commercial Growers Have To Say:   Our large growers love the Ginegar Plastic. “This is great plastic!  Much better than Poly Experts and Berry Plastics.” Bailey Farms, NC
More about Ginegar’s White/Black Film
These three-layered films are white on the side facing up and black on the side facing down. The white color reflects radiation to prevent the overheating of seedlings, plants and fruit, enhances photosynthesis and repels pests.  The black color prevents the penetration of light and reduces the germination of weeds. These films are recommended for vegetables, flowers and orchards with single row layouts or for the entire width of greenhouse gables.
FEATURES
- Great for late tomatoes and peppers.
- You can use one roll black side up or white side up!
- Laying plastic by hand? Not an easy job! If so, we do recommend this one because it’s a little thicker.
- Embossed mulch is generally more resistant to damage due to punctures, wind fatigue and cracking than slick mulches.
- Â Embossed plastic is easier to lay down.
Why we only carry the Embossed Cast Film:
Embossed mulch is generally more resistant to damage due to punctures, wind fatigue and cracking than non-embossed mulches. Slick Plastic will generally not hold up as well and is difficult to lay down and remove.
Ginegar only uses raw materials that guarantee the highest level of mechanical strength and flexibility, and compatibility with all mechanical testing standards.
The cast production method involves embossing while the material is hot, therby changing the surface of the sheeting and endowing it with greater flexibility, softness and strength. This technique allows better adherence of the sheeting to the ground surface, and is particularly suitable for crops grown on raised beds. Ginegar manufactures their plastic mulch films using a five layer coextrusion technology.
Ginegar’s mulch films are advanced multi-layer mulch films manufactured using cast (flat die) extrusion.  Along with UV protection, these films are available in embossed (cast) and a wide range of thicknesses and widths to meet specific growers needs!
