The 3/4-inch unit T2C filter is the most common size for residential systems. This filter will sift sand and debris from well water systems and from old corroding city water lines.Ā When used in a residential system, it will help keep appliances and faucets clean of debris or hard water deposits. The 1-inch filter is used in drip irrigation, where watering is lighter and sporadic.

Extend Pump Life
Problem:Ā Sand in my water well is causing damage to my pump and then continuing to my home.
Aware that when sand gets inside a water supply it can cause damage to plumbing fixtures, clothes washers, etc. Not to mention clog filters and leave sediment in water, ice, the bathtub or the toilet. LAKOSĀ® created a water filter system to prevent this in several ways.
Solution: Install a LAKOSĀ® separator above ground, piped in before a water pressure tank.Ā Or underground connected to your well to prevent sand from ever entering the water system.
How do you know what filter size to choose?  The main criteria for selecting the correct filter size is flow rate, not pipe size. LAKOS® TwistIIClean⢠filters operate in the following flow ranges:
T2C-075 (3/4ā):Ā 0-25 US GPM
T2C-100 (1ā): 0-39 US GPM
T2C-150 (1 ½ā):Ā 0-78 US GPM
The 1 1/2-inch T2C⢠filter is for the same purposes as the other two filter units, with additional applications. This unit is used for filtering the irrigation mainline keeping all sprinkler nozzles operating properly. Used on commercial properties the large filter element surface (25 in2) and bowl, works great when more holding capacity of debris or time between flushing is required. Manufacturers rely on the 1 1/2″-inch filter to keep production equipment clear of debris on loop systems or water-cooling systems, saving time and cost.Ā This unit works well in a variety of applications.
