1. Tomato Twine: Tomato twine is used to support tomato plants as they grow vertically. Twine is wrapped around the main stem of the tomato plant and attached to a support structure such as a trellis or overhead wire system. This helps to keep the plants upright, prevents them from collapsing under the weight of the fruit and optimizes space utilization in the garden or greenhouse.
2. Jute Twine: Jute twine is an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic tomato twine. It is made from natural fibers derived from the jute plant and is biodegradable, making it an environmentally sustainable option for trellising tomatoes. Jute twine provides similar support to tomato plants as synthetic twine but breaks down over time, reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact.
3. Tomato Clips: Tomato clips are on of our best selling items! These clips attach tomato plants to trellis twine or support wires. These clips are typically made from plastic and have a hinged design that allows them to be easily opened and closed around the stem of the tomato plant. Tomato clips provide a secure attachment point for the plants, preventing them from slipping or sliding along the trellis twine, ensuring proper support throughout the growing season.
4. Tomahooks: Tomahooks are heavy-duty hooks used to secure tomato plants to overhead support wires or frames. They are designed to withstand the weight of mature tomato plants and provide a stable anchoring point for trellising systems. Tomahooks are adjustable in height, allowing growers to raise or lower the plants as needed to optimize growing conditions and facilitate harvesting.
5. Rollerhook Frames and Spools: Rollerhook frames and spools are components of rollerhook trellising systems used in commercial tomato production. These systems consist of a series of overhead support wires with rollerhook frames attached at regular intervals. The rollerhook frames hold spools of twine or wire, which can be easily deployed and retracted as needed to support tomato plants as they grow. Rollerhook systems allow for efficient and uniform trellising of large-scale tomato crops, maximizing space utilization and facilitating mechanical harvesting.
6. J Hooks: J hooks are used to anchor tomato trellis twine or support wires to the ground or other structural supports. They provide a stable anchoring point for trellis systems, ensuring that the twine or wires remain securely in place and can support the weight of the tomato plants.
