EZ-FLO systems are installed in a main line irrigation system using one of these different connection options (which are sold separately as they must be matched to each specific pipe size and also to ensure proper flow control).
** These are NOT necessary for each system.**
Ball Valve Coupling Connectors are available in sizes ranging from 3/4″ to 4″ with socket x socket connections for gluing into PVC pipe. They are manufactured from Schedule 40 PVC with 1/4″ nylon barbed tubing connections. They are used to connect the EZ-FLO system to the irrigation flow line before or after the valve with the 1/4″ flexible tubing provided with every EZ-FLO system.
They are required for complex system designs or when the elevation of zone valves downstream from the EZ-FLO installation point are at an elevation of 10 feet (3 meters) or more above the installation point or where the user needs more control over the operation of the fertigation unit. Ball Valve Connectors provide the ability to adjust the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet connections to the irrigation flow line and can ensure that even the heaviest organic fertilizers and supplements can be pulled from the tank.
Ball Valve Coupling connectors are highly recommended for use with EZ005-FX and EZ010-FX models and REQUIRED FOR all High Capacity (HC) main line units.
Ball Valve Connectors provide the ability to adjust the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet connection to the irrigation flow line. They are also recommended for any application where higher feed rates are desired or heavier fertilizer/supplement products are used. This is especially important to nurseries and growers where higher proportioning rates are needed
