•
10 mil is a medium weight Drip Tape. 10 mil is best used on Medium to Rocky Soils and on one or 2-season crops. This mil is also good when you need to bury tape a few inches. The higher strength will help you retrieve it out of the ground later.

This Aquatraxx tape by Toro is standard 5/8" tape.
10 Mil Drip Tape may be re-used for 2 or 3 years in short-season crops and if it is kept out of the weather and away from mice when not in use.

FAQ: How much drip tape can I run at one time on a garden hose? How much water is this putting out?

The Flow of your drip tape is the 3rd set of numbers in the Model #. This number is stated in GPM per every 100' of tape that you run.

EXAMPLE: EA5081245-7500 This tape puts out .45 gpm for every 100 feet that you run. OR 4.5 gpm for every 1,000' of tape that you run.

TRY IT : --- I have 12 gpm of water coming out of your garden hose at the field/plot. Therefore, I can run 2,666 feet of drip tape at one time. (MATH: 12 divided by .45= 26.666 x 100 feet = 2,666 feet)

--- I have 14 gpm of water " " " ... Therefore, I can run 3,111 feet of drip tape at one time.

Take your Drip Tape's Flow (.22, .34, .45, .67, 1.34 and divide it into your GPM. Multiply that # x 100 feet.

How do you figure your GPM ? Take your garden hose close to your garden plot or field. Run it for approx 2 minutes.

Then time yourself filling up a 5 gallon bucket. How long did it take? 30 seconds would mean you roughly have 10 gpm.

Lay with Stripes Up (The blue-stripe shows the side of the Drip Tape that has the slits. You want the slits/drippers face up. If any trash happens to enter the drip tape, it is easy to stop up slits /drippers that are face down. It is harder to push the trash upwards... so placing the drippers face up helps to prevent clogging.)

SPACINGS AVAILABLE : 8", 12", 18", 24" (Use Pull Down Arrow)

    Joe,
It seems that every time I turn on the TV, there's an ad for a sleep number bed. These beds apparently give you a good night's sleep. My sleep number is 1-800- 345-DRIP.

Even with the severity of the drought, I sleep good each night.

Thank you for helping us with another excellent crop, photos enclosed.

    Regards, Ken

The 10 mil drip tape is good for my heavy soil. I plant watermelons and use the 12" spacing. They like the regular waterings but I don't use plastic (yet) so the 10 mil is good for my field. Thanks Berry Hill for the fast shipment!
